The Brain - Part 9 Sleep Deprivation Part 2

f you have ever driven on a long country road in NSW or stayed on a large highway long enough you will have noticed the driver reviver signs.

These are no joke. In Australia more than 1 person dies every day from driving/ industrial accidents caused by sleep deprivation.

A build up of homeostatic sleep drive is the cause of these uncontrollable microsleeps.

The brain requires sleep and when it doesn’t get it reaction time is reduced and accidents are more likely to happen.

Sleep Deprivation endangers not only you but everyone around you.
